Misbehavior Your child will get a warning. The 2nd time he/she will get a check on my clipboard.
Possible Consequences -Child writes a note/draws a picture to show how he/she will improve -Loss of recess minutes -Talk it out with student, come up with a solution -5 steps to problem solving page -Pray about it -Teacher will email, write a note (in assignment notebook to parent/guardian) or call the parent
*If improvements were made there will be no parental contact. However, I will email if your child has 3 or more misbehaviors in a day.
Rewards for Good Behavior Good Behavior- Given Weekly “prizes” Secret Student- Teacher picks 2 students and if he/she follows classroom rules, child earns a special privilege or reward Coin Jar- We have a class reward after filling up the jar- a movie, extra recess, pajama day, free ipad time Xtra Math- Complete your monthly goal with 3 times per week and earn stamps for a reward.
Homework Homework will be give Monday-Thursday. Expect 20-30 minutes daily.
Typical Homework Includes: Daily reading 1 Homelink sheet Spelling and/or English homework on Wednesdays Xtra Math (3-4 times a week) i-Ready Reading and Math (40 minutes per subject)-some class time will be given Study for weekly reading, spelling and other academic tests Book Reports (1 per trimester)
Homework Management Students will get 3 passes before homework completion can affect his or her grade. Each child is expected to turn in the missing homework the following day. A “blue slip” will be given with the late assignment to remind the child to complete it and to let the parent know your child has a late assignment.
